About Me
I’m a dedicated and passionate dietetics student, currently working towards becoming a registered dietitian (RD). With a strong foundation in nutrition and a commitment to evidence-based practices, my goal is to empower individuals and communities to make informed, sustainable choices that promote overall health and well-being.
As I near the completion of my master's program, I am actively seeking opportunities to further my knowledge through hands-on experience, with a special interest in sports nutrition, behavior change, and holistic wellness. My approach is rooted in understanding each person’s unique needs, and I aim to provide practical, compassionate, and individualized care to help my clients thrive.
I am driven by a desire to not only educate and inspire but also to contribute to the larger field of dietetics, continuously improving myself and my practice. As I transition into my professional career, I am excited to combine my academic knowledge with real-world experience to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those I work with.
My Mission
My mission as a future registered dietitian is to empower individuals to take control of their health through personalized, science-backed nutrition strategies. I am committed to promoting sustainable lifestyle changes that enhance physical, mental, and emotional well-being. By providing compassionate, evidence-based care, I aim to educate and support my clients in making informed choices that align with their unique needs and goals. My work is centered on creating positive, lasting impacts that inspire confidence, vitality, and a holistic approach to health.
My Vision
2 year plan goals:
-
-
Goal 1: Pursue certification in a specialized area of dietetics- I'm interested in the IFNA course about female health and hormones.
-
Goal 2: Attend at least two professional development workshops or conferences per year to stay updated on evidence-based practices - I am hoping to attend FNCE this year.
-
Goal 3: Establish a solid relationship with a mentor in the field for ongoing guidance and support, this could be with one of my preceptors or someone that I work with at a new job.
-
5-Year Plan Goals:
-
-
Goal 1: Publish articles or blog posts on nutrition topics. I really enjoyed my time working with Mackenzie Burgess at Cheerful Choices and her impactful work in media.
-
Goal 2: Become an active member of dietetic organizations (e.g., Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics) - I hope to network with other RDs both local and across the country. This could be helpful for any RDs that are specilaized in different areas of expertise.
-
Goal 3: Explore opportunities in different settings (e.g., corporate wellness, public health, or academia). I am very passionate about exploring how nutrition can impact individuals and how I can share that with others. I would love to be able to step into a teaching role and find a niche in which I can work with.
